The flooded and unread email inbox problem that everyone has:
A customer emails at 9:40 on a Tuesday night asking to book a service visit. Nobody sees it until morning. By then, they've booked with someone who answered first.
Many businesses have fixed the phone. The inbox is still the front desk nobody staffs after hours, and it fills up fast during the day too.
Starting today, every TeamMate AI agent can work the inbox. It reads incoming email, replies on its own and books the appointment, with no one touching the keyboard. It's available now, and it's included with every agent.
What's new
Any TeamMate AI agent can now monitor a mailbox and handle email from start to finish. That includes the agents you already have running. There's no new product to buy and no separate add-on to price. Email is part of the agent.
Most AI receptionists stop at the phone. Ours don't.
What the agent does in the inbox
Reads and understands every email
The agent reads each message the way a person would. It works out what the sender wants, whether that's a question, a booking, a reschedule or a problem that needs attention, and acts on it right away.
Replies in the business's voice
The agent answers from the same prompt and knowledge base it uses on calls. Hours, services, pricing and policies come from the business's own material, not the open internet. When the business updates its knowledge, the agent's email replies update too.
Books appointments from the thread
This is where email gets powerful. The agent checks the calendar, offers open times and books the appointment inside the email conversation. It connects to Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar, the same way our voice agents do. We covered calendar setup in Connect an AI Agent to a Calendar, No Developer Needed.
Finishes the job
A reply is only the start. The agent can send an SMS confirmation, trigger a webhook or n8n workflow, or update a CRM or ticketing system through MCP. The email gets answered, and the work behind it gets done.
One agent, every channel
TeamMate agents already handle voice, SMS and chat with the same prompt and knowledge. Email now joins them.
That means a customer can call on Monday and email on Tuesday and get the same answers, from the same agent, under the same brand. There's no second system to train, and the email agent and phone agent never contradict each other, because they're the same agent.
For the business, every way a customer reaches out is covered, around the clock.
Why this matters for partners
For service providers selling TeamMate AI Voice Agents, this is a big step up:
- More value in every deal. Your customers get phone and email coverage from one agent, at no extra cost to you.
- Nothing new to sell. Email is included, so there's no new SKU, price sheet or approval cycle. Turn it on and show it in the next demo.
- Harder to replace. An agent that runs a customer's phones and inbox becomes part of how the business works.
- Still under your brand. Everything stays white-label: your brand, your domain and your pricing.
When a customer compares you against an AI receptionist that only answers calls, this is the difference they'll notice.
